Alternate Ending: Wes
As soon as Teresa pushed the button on the console, everything around Thomas seemed to come to a halt. The other Gladers held in their breaths and waited in the new found silence, anticipating what would happen. After several long moments, a long hissing sound echoed down the hallway. Everyone stared into the shadows, prepared for anything to happen. The Gladers slowly inched down the hallway until they discovered the source of the noise. A large door was raising from the wall, revealing another chamber within. Thomas felt the eyes of his companions on him. "Nowhere to go but forward." he said with a shrug, then lead the group within.
All was dark as the Gladers entered the room, and they could not tell what lurked ahead. Suddenly
a bright light flashed on, blinding those who had adjusted to the gloomy light of the tunnel. When everyone was able to look, they saw several people standing before them. They wore lab coats and carried clipboards, and seemed to be giving them an approving look. "Greetings, children," the man nearest to them said. "We were very impressed with your results in our maze experiment. We didn't expect this many to survive." Thomas was speechless. These people, these monsters, had used him and his friends as lab rats. He could see feel the anger rising within the other survivors. "Why, after a short break, we think that you may be ready for the second test!"
Something in Thomas snapped after the man's comment, and he charged at the pack of scientists with his arms flailing. After him came the other boys, who swarmed behind him, eager for revenge. They dived into the fight, which lasted, unsurprisingly, not long at all. The Gladers finally had a chance to take out their anger and confusion on those who had caused their pain. After beating the Creators senseless, they set their minds to finding an exit. Once they escaped, they would bring these terrible people to justice and reveal what they had done to the rest of the world. Thomas stopped to think for a second, about the things Alby had said about the world. Was it going to be any better? But he shoved the thought away. He was finally going to go home.

Individual rewrite reflection (Thomas): This book was exciting and intense as well as mysterious and full of plot changes.  The book starts off with the main character, Thomas waking up in a box and entering the glade.  As the book progresses you learn that they must escape the maze they're put in.  The book ends with an unexpected plot twist that leads to the next novel in the series.

Reflection: Yey or Nay?

The Maze Runner: Thomas, Ashley P, Wes, Blanca, Ashley T, and Brady

Overall, everybody in our group liked the book. It kept us wanting to read more through the use of suspense, and was full of exciting action. We liked how personal the characters were and how the author really fleshed out the community in the Glade. The mystery of what lay beyond the maze was transferred to the reader very well. There is also a prevalent sense of adventure throughout the story that keeps you interested in what Thomas is up to in every page, and leaves you trying to figure it ll out. The surprise ending left us shocked and wanting to read more,  there were great scenes in the book.  From the beginning in the book it was great the ending was amazing too. We would really recommend the book to reader who are into suspense and mystery books. People who love to read these types of books will love to read Maze Runner and they will enjoy it as much as we did. None of us had any major complaints about the book, but it did have a little bit of a slow start.
Individual Character
       Teresa Agnes
Relation to main character: forms a bond with Thomas after the Gladers don't trust her and throws her in the slammer. Her and Thomas then starts talking telepathically to each other.

Physical appearance: she is described as " thin, but not too small" , with skin "pale,q white as pearls" , with "burning blue eyes" and "tar black hair" that's silky, "long legs" and "perfect pink lips". She mentally communicates with Thomas. That's the only telepathic link with anyone. She thinks she knows why and how she knows Thomas and why they both were brought to the Glades.

Qualities: she forms a bond with one person; I have a bond with someone. Same age as me. She says everything is going to change I the world; 8i believe that too, just differently.

Song that represents her: "I'm Different" by 2Chainz. I chose this particular song because
Teresa says that everything is going to change. She is also the first and last female to ever come to the Glades. This song fits her perfectly because all the veterans of the glades were thrown off by the scheduling of her arrival, which wasn't timed.

Individual Character - Wes
1. Newt: Newt is the leader's assistant in the glade, and is a senior member. He gets along with Thomas from the start, and in tough times, relies on him as a friend.

2. Physical appearance: Newt is a tall 16-17 year old guy. He is described as having blond hair and a square jaw, and is in good physical condition like most of the gladers. He walks with a limp due to an unexplained accident in the maze.
Mental makeup: Newt is generally mature, allowing him to be a good leader. He is always trying to figure things out and get to the bottom of it all, like why Thomas is so special, and how to get out of the maze. Newt is reliable and doesn't give up easily.
Social: Newt is generally nice to the other Gladers, and in turn he is respected by them. He is not very close to many, but trusts his circle of friends. He can be mean to those who have identified themselves as enemies, such as Gally.

3. How he relates to me: I generally try to stay mature in situations where it is required, and i am reliable with making sure that what needs to happen gets done. I try to be nice to the people around me, but I'm only really close to a few people.

Paragraph for picture: My picture shows Newt in the Glade. He is staring at the doors of the maze in deep thought, as if he is trying to figure out the puzzle within. I feel that this characterizes Newt in the way that I think of him as, a problem solver. I am like him in this way, and I feel that the picture captures this trait.

1.       Alby is the leader of the Glade. His relationship with Thomas is like a mutual dependency; they get along to survive. It is not until later in the book where many details are brought to light, and their relationship takes a turn for the worse.

2.       Alby is described to be around 16 years of age. His physical appearance is a young African American that is very muscular and tall. He is a quiet person, but can be mean at times.

3.       One distinct comparison between Alby and myself is that we are both quiet, but speak when it is needed to help benefit others and ourselves. In this book Alby believes that he is needed to help benefit others and keep peace within the Glade. I choose these qualities, because it shows why sometimes things need to be done in order to make everybody have a mutual bond, even though they may have a different opinion on this topic. This relates because Alby has his own ideas about the Glade, but he doesn’t deny others of their opinion or their beliefs.
I chose to draw a maze with Alby running out of it. I think that it is important to show that Alby was able to overcome his doubts about the maze. The maze represents the unknown to Alby. It is a place that he has never been, and the feeling of not being completely in charge and confident about his ability to keep the group safe feeds his doubt. The maze is a symbol of fear to Alby, and it’s not until the group is in danger that he works out his fear. This relates to me as well, because you have to learn to face your fears, which is an obstacle that I have come across getting ready to choose my path for the future.
